| The
River Ganges or the Ganga is the most
sacred river in the Hindu religion and
its source at Gaumukh on the Gangotri
glacier is one of the holiest destinations
for Hindu pilgrims who come here to
witness the birth of Mother Ganga. Our
trek takes us to Gaumukh (translates
to cows mouth), the mythological source
of the River Ganges, which is at the
snout of the Gangotri glacier. At Gaumukh,
blocks of glacier fall into the river
and pilgrims 'cleanse themselves of
their sins' in freezing water. |

| Day 01:
Delhi - Arrive Delhi. Met upon
arrival and transfer to hotel for overnight
stay. |

02: Delhi-Rishikesh - Morning
after breakfast drive to reach Rishikesh
(6 hours approx). Afternoon visit Haridwar,
Har-Ki-Pauri and continue to Rishikesh,
one of the holy places for Hindus. Arrive
and check into hotel for overnight stay. |

03: Rishikesh - Uttarkashi -
- Morning after breakfast drive to Uttarkashi
(1885 M) by covering approx 148 kms
in 7 hrs. The road climbs up steadily
to Srinagar and then onwards steeply.
Arrive and check into tourist bungalow
for overnight stay. |

04: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Morning
after breakfast drive to reach Gangotri
(4038 M) by covering approx. 101 kms
in 5 hrs. En-route visit the Ganganani
hot springs. There is a beautiful Gorge
at Bhairav Ghati. Arrive and check into
tourist bungalow for overnight stay. |

05: Gangotri - Bhujbasa (Trek) - Morning
after breakfast start first day's trek
to Bhujbasa (3658 M) following the river
Bhagirathi by covering approx 14 kms
in 5 hrs. approx. En-route you can have
beautiful view of Mt. Shivling Meru
etc. Arrive and overnight stay in tents/tourist
bungalow. |

06: Bhujbasa – Gaumukh - Tapovan
(Trek) - Morning after breakfast
start trekking to Tapovan (4400 M) by
covering approx. 8 kms in 3 hrs. First
reach Gaumukh, the source of the river
Ganges, cross the Gangotri glacier and
climb steeply to reach a beautiful Meadow,
Tapovan with a majestic view of Mt.
Shivling Meru etc. Arrive and overnight
stay in tents. |

07: Tapovan - Bhujbasa (Trek) -Morning
after breakfast start trekking down
to Bhujbasa by covering approx. 8 kms
in 2 hrs. Overnight at tourist bungalow/tents.

08: Bhujbasa – Gangotri - Uttarkashi
(Trek) -- Morning after breakfast
start trekking to reach Gangotri by
covering approx. 14 kms in 4 hrs. From
Gangotri drive to Uttarkashi by covering
approx. 101 kms in 5 hrs. Arrive and
overnight stay at tourist bungalow. |

09: Uttarkashi - Rishikesh -Morning
after breakfast drive to reach Rishikesh
by covering approx. 148 kms in 7 hrs.
Overnight at tourist bungalow/tents. |
| DDay
10: Rishikesh – Delhi -TMorning
after breakfast drive to Delhi by covering
225 kms in 7 hrs. Arrive Delhi, check
in hotel for overnight stay. |
| Day
11: Delhi - Onward Destination
-Full day sight-seeing tour of Old and
New Delhi. Await transfer to international
airport for flight to onward destination. |
